YaShree Tools App ("we", "our", "us") operates the PDF Editor mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.

 

1. Information We Collect

 

The App is designed to work primarily with files stored on your device. We do not require account creation or collect personal identity information to use core features.

 

Files and Documents:

PDFs and images you open, create, scan, edit, merge, split, sign, or convert using the App are processed and stored on your own device. We do not upload your documents to our servers.

 

Device Permissions:

The App may request access to Storage (to read/write/manage PDF and image files), Camera (for the document scanner feature), and Notifications (to inform you when a file is saved or processed).

 

Usage and Diagnostic Data:

We may collect non-personal technical data such as app crash logs, device model, Android OS version, and app performance metrics to improve stability and features.

 

Advertising Identifiers:

The App does not currently display ads. If ads are introduced in a future update, third-party ad networks may collect device advertising ID and usage data as described in Section 4.

 

2. How We Use Information

 

To provide core functionality: viewing, editing, merging, splitting, scanning, signing, converting, and compressing PDF files.

 

To diagnose crashes and improve app performance and reliability.

 

To display relevant advertisements (if applicable).

 

To comply with legal obligations.

 

3. Storage and Security

 

All document processing happens locally on your device. Files you create or edit are saved to your device storage (e.g., Downloads or app-specific folders) using Android's MediaStore or direct file access, depending on your Android version and the permissions you grant. We take reasonable technical measures to protect data handled by the App, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

 

4. Third-Party Services

 

The App currently uses Google Play Services for core functionality. The App does not currently display advertisements or use Firebase. In a future update, we may integrate the following, at which point this policy will be updated accordingly:

 

Google AdMob / other ad networks

 

— to display advertisements, which may collect device advertising ID and usage data.

 

Firebase

 

— for crash reporting and analytics.

 

Any third-party service we use has its own privacy policy governing how it uses collected information; we encourage you to review those policies. The App may also display links leading to third-party websites; we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites, and their inclusion does not imply our endorsement.

 

5. Sensitive Information

 

We ask that you do not send us, or disclose to us, any sensitive personal information (such as information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, sexual orientation, or criminal background) through the App or any support channel.

 

6. Non-Personal and Device Information

 

To better understand app usage, fix problems, and improve our product and advertising, we may collect non-personal information such as app version, installation date, frequency of use, country, device model, and anonymous advertising identifiers. This information is not combined with any personally identifiable information.

 

7. Copyright Content

 

The App is designed to let you edit and manage files that you already own or have the right to use. We do not host or distribute copyrighted third-party content. If you believe any content accessible through the App infringes your copyright, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

 

8. Permissions Explained

 

Storage / All Files Access:

 

Required to let you open, save, scan, and manage PDF/image files anywhere on your device.

 

Camera:

 

Required only for the document scanning feature to capture pages.

 

Notifications:

 

Used to alert you about completed file operations (e.g., save, compress, convert).

 

You can disable any permission at any time from your device's App Settings, though this may limit certain features.

 

9. Children's Privacy

 

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

 

10. Data Retention and Deletion

 

Since your documents remain on your device, you control retention by managing files directly through your device's file manager or within the App. Uninstalling the App removes app-specific data but not files already saved to shared storage (e.g., Downloads).

 

11. Security

 

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information handled by the App from unauthorized access or use. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

12. Changes to This Policy

 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with any changes, you should stop using the App.
